John Ben Regesh has a small but active congregation in Texas and with his clergy does missionary work in Northern Mexico. At Christmas they deliver hundreds of toys to children who live in severe poverty. He and his clergy last year delivered in excess of seven hundred gifts to children who were not only poor but disabled. Each year for the last ten years the mission has gotten larger and larger.
John Ben Regesh has held a Juris Doctor degree since 1973 doing a large amount of pro-bono work and is directly responsible for aiding not only his parishioners but those working poor who live in the community and do not qualify for legal aid. He has prosecuted appeals to the United States Supreme Court and has held licenses in many courts and jurisdictions including the U.S. Tax Court. He has also held a license as a CPA. The practice of Law has found him representing international clients in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Tehran, Iran; Caracas, Venezuela; Beirut, Lebanon; England; the Netherlands; Canada; Mexico; Curacao, and the Philippines. While negotiating contracts with people in various places in the world, his most serious negotiation was entering a bank under siege and securing the release of hostages and surrender of the gunman. He received the Key to the City of Fort Worth, Texas in 1985 for his selfless civic work in and for the benefit of that City. In PADI, Doctor Regesh rose to Master Scuba Instructor. He taught 15 of the 17 PADI specialty courses and in addition has taught search and rescue and proper medical protocol to first responders in diving accidents. While in Honduras on vacation, John stepped forward assuming command of both the dive operation and vessel which authorities and the dive operation owner and the family credited for the saving of the life of a seventeen year old man. His students have also saved lives and made the sport of scuba diving safer because they are in the water. The Philippines, Honduras, Venezuela, Hispaniola, Mexico, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, and Texas are just some of the areas Doctor Regesh has had an opportunity to scuba dive. Doctor Regesh served the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary as a Staff Officer, Sailing and Seamanship Instructor, and Boating Instructor for eight years. Doctor Regesh holds a U.S. Patent for an electronic Zone Moisture Control Manager which helps conserve water and fertilizer and helps prevent the icing of surfaces during the winter. Doctor Regesh has taught Law, Business, and Banking in various Colleges and Community Colleges.
Now we must look ahead and spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and tell people that the Law of God, The Torah, the Word Made Flesh is not a burden but a liberation of the individual. You do not need to guess at what pleases God, you know and it is not from some preacher, priest, or pundit but from scripture as interpreted by Jesus Christ where you will now feel happy and fulfilled because you are on the right path.
